We need to come back to the basics. Paul said he feared that our minds would be led astray from the “simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ” through deception. This is also our fear, especially as we approach these last days where knowledge is increasing and the desire for more knowledge is at the forefront of many people’s minds. Our end goal is that our house remains, and to achieve that goal, a strong foundation is required to be laid.

As disciples and followers of Christ, we need to have a solid foundation that we do not compromise. This foundation will lead to a surrender and obedience to our Master King Jesus. Without this foundation, we hear and read the Word, but have problems obeying it. When we have a good foundation, we can obey Him and when the storm comes, the house will stand.
